What are the conditions for the durability of hydraulic brick machine molds?
2021-11-23
The mold is a relatively large and expensive part of the vulnerable parts of the hydraulic brick machine. We all hope that the purchased mold will be durable. When purchasing, we should not only look at the strength of the manufacturer and the material of the mold, but also understand its treatment process. Let's introduce what conditions the hydraulic brick machine mold needs for our customers?
Hydraulic brick press
1、 Wear resistance
When raw materials are pressed and formed in the mold, the formed brick slides along the mold surface, and friction is formed between the mold cavity surface and the brick. The die of hydraulic brick machine shall be wear-resistant, which can avoid the different sizes of formed bricks caused by die wear. The wear resistance of materials is one of the basic and important properties of the die, and the hardness is the main factor affecting the wear resistance. The harder the die, the smaller the wear, and the better the wear resistance;
2、 Tenacity
The working conditions of molds are relatively poor. Some molds often bear large impact load, resulting in brittle fracture. In order to prevent sudden brittle fracture of molds, molds should have high strength and toughness. The toughness of molds mainly depends on the carbon content, grain size and structure of materials;
3、 Fatigue resistance
In the working process of hydraulic brick machine die, fatigue fracture often occurs under the action of long-term cyclic stress. Its forms include low-energy multi impact fatigue fracture, tensile fatigue fracture, contact fatigue fracture and bending fatigue fracture. The fatigue fracture performance of die mainly depends on its strength, toughness, hardness and the content of inclusions in material;
4、 High temperature resistance
When the mold works continuously for a long time, the friction between the mold and raw materials will increase the surface temperature of the mold. If the material is selected or handled improperly, it will reduce the hardness and strength of the mold, thus reducing the wear resistance of the mold. Therefore, the mold material should have high tempering stability to ensure that the mold has high hardness and strength under high temperature conditions;
5、 Low temperature resistance
The mould is reheated and cooled during the working process, which causes the stress on the surface of the cavity to be changed by tension and pressure, resulting in cracking and falling off of the surface, increasing friction, blocking plastic deformation, reducing dimensional accuracy, resulting in die failure. Thermal fatigue and cold fatigue are one of the main failure modes of the hot working die, and the mold should have higher resistance to cold fatigue and thermal fatigue.
6、 Corrosion resistance
Some raw materials pressed by hydraulic brick press are corrosive. Contact with the die will damage the protective layer on the die surface, thus corroding the die. In the process of long-term continuous work, the die will be seriously worn. Therefore, the material of the die should have corrosion resistance.
